San Onofre
I have read posts about the same regarding fencing. Supposedly new fencing installed that extends into the ocean that makes it harder to pass around during high tide. Large fines had been imposed on those also caught trespassing onto the property.
That area north of the fence was the unofficial nudist area that previously existed until the state park board made the decision to ban it. That ban is what pushed the nudists to the base property. Since it was banned by the state park board, I doubt the lifeguards and park rangers would turn a blind eye and allow it back on the state beach side. Fortunately the state park board didnt go after Blacks Beach.
There was a Friends of San Onofre group that existed at one time that was battling to keep the clothing optional area. I dont know if they still exist. One nudist that was heavily involved with the group is also an attorney and was very involved in trying to get the state park board to reverse their policy but was not successful. I am not sure if the attempts to reverse the policy are still ongoing or not.
