4th of July 2026
Hey everyone I maybe going out to Emerald Lake the Fourth of July weekend. Not sure if I will make the fourth or just be there Sunday the 5th. Depends on what the family is doing. Let me know if you maybe going out there so I can say hi.

Did you notice that Turtle Lake is requiring people to be minimally clothed during construction?
Is this requirement of clothes having to do with the sensibilities of the construction workers or something else? Man, but clothed people have their dumb hang-ups. We have a multiple week construction project going on here -- adding a nice wing onto our little home for Mom -- and from the beginning I haven't worried an iota about the different work crews doing it seeing our skin. They seem to be fine with it as well. Some of them are coming through the resort gates for the first time, but they understand and accept that they go where the work is. None have made a big deal out of it, and at least one has shown an interest in coming back off the clock to see what it's like.
There are going to be some differences between a personal home construction project with minimal workers compared to whatever Turtle Lake may have going on. That said, is their concern for openly-displayed bareness about a lack of focus, with the worry being workers might hurt themselves due to all the tits & bits in view -- say like the threat of a nail gun dispensing its load where it doesn't belong in case their attention is sidetracked? If so, someone should look up the statistics (if there is such a thing) about how 'minimal clothing' often turns the view into a much more sexually-provocative scene than anything a naked body will. The sight of a standard, modern bikini can raise the pulse lickety-split, where as a body unadorned is just beautiful without the tang of sensual distraction.
I say, make 'em construct naked and keep everybody a lot more comfortable!! There are certainly numerous things in a construction zone that could be troublesome or dangerous to do while nude...
I did notice that and its pretty sad. Im sure it has to do with the construction. I think it could be a compromise for a lower price on construction. Which would be just terrible.
