So...I have a legit massage question, "how best to approach my massage therapist about getting rid of the blanket." I once belonged to the Nude Massage group but dropped it because it was inactive. I thought I'd check it out again and post my question there. Well, it's been very active. The first three pages were nothing but hook up and similar sexual or scam posts. I stopped there. Clearly, if your looking for a prostitute, that's the place to go. That's about the worst thing I've seen on this site and does make me think that unmoderated groups should be deleted. Maybe Team True will see this post, but probably not. Something should be done.
Anyone have a suggestion related to my massage question?
In thinking it through, she knows I'm a naturist and is an old family friend, but not a friend of mine, although, that is changing. She has been practicing 30+ years and is very good at what she does. I think the approach will be to say I find being covered with a blanket during the massage uncomfortable. Only the parts she is working on are exposed. Then I'll asked what her boundaries are. I have a feeling she'll be alright nudity, but I want to be careful. I this case, I don't want it to spoil the relationship because she is very good and we have other connections. I don't want to go shopping for a massage again.
I would tend to think that massage therapist would lean in an open-minded direction. I personally have never been to one who used anything heavier than a sheet, maybe she is considering comfort besides modesty in terms of warmth. The best masseuse I ever visited preferred nude, so she didn't have to hassle with the textiles, she was strong and got down to business without interruptions moving them about. She was however like they often do getting worn out from the physicality and moved onto another occupation. She was recommended by my chiropractor, and I was very grateful for her abilities. A friend of ours also was also a former therapist and we often visit Orvis with her, and I know she gets naked at festivals, hot springs etc. She and I gave "Pepper" a nude massage once in fact though we were clothed.
I came across this last year. I go to Shangra-la a few times a year. Last year been having problems with my hip. So I got an appointment for a massage. It hadnt crossed my mind what to wear. The first thing I said to her was "I wasnt sure how to dress"? So had a great massage without sheet, dont remember if she asked or not. When I got back to my cabin my friend and I both hadnt thought of it either.
If I wasnt going to a nudist place I wouldnt as at all. I would think red lights would go off in their head? Now when I am home getting one, i wear nothing and at some point usually something is said. But they always use a sheet and they are professionals and respect them.
I'm a licensed therapist, and we kinda address this in training. Indeed in some states a therapist can lose their license for working on a naked client, and the therapist will know what their state massage board says about this. (It's not "law", it's a regulation you will find it very hard to look up.) It's not a rule in Hawaii.
And therapists working in clinics will have to follow the clinic rules. When I was an apprentice, I had a female client undress and lie face-down, undraped, for a back massage. I did the work, but when I checked in with the clinic, I got a reprimand. "What would you have done if she turned over?!" "I'd have continued the massage." To which I got no response but a dirty look and silence.
A therapist will often instruct you to undress "to your comfort level" and pull the draping sheet over you, then leave the room for you to do that. I'd suggest not resisting that instruction, but offering something like "Sure. I should let you know I'm not body-shy at all, so use the draping however it works best for you." And then do as they've asked you to do.
My suggestion is either find a nudist Spa near you yes you may have to travel a bit make a night of it. Another way which i've done google Holistic or tantric massage near me. Yes you will have to go through escorts etc but will find one . Im seeing one on Monday also my local spa does fully naked ones
