A honest question mostly to the women but anyone
So this is a real question please read whole before you scrap as it will sound like scam.
So I have recently joined a major dating site to meet a women for a real relationship so I believe in being real honest as possible within the 500 word allowance. So my question do I put on the bio that I am a nudist or will this scare most off. I do hope that I will meet someone who will join me on the journey but as long as they are ok with me then I will live with it. I found on here many men in particular hide there nudism to there partner, I don't want this. thanks Ade
Most people are initially put off when meeting a stranger who, upfront flaunts nudism. Most people equate nudity with sexually explicit activity and pull away. It takes time to un-learn a life time of cultural behavior. Let the issue come up naturally as each of you begin to become acquainted.
If it is an accidental encounter, there is usually less rejection. Just be polite and cover up. The issue is now open and you have reacted civilly. Sometimes you will find the other person is also a nudist or a nudist wanna-be. If you don't push hard, even a non-nudist can slowly become a nudist.
I have been gently persuading my wife to join me in Naturist activities. She has gone through all the rejection phases and this week has finally relaxed and spent time outdoors with me at a clothing optional campground. So amazing progress. There is still a way to go, but good progress.
Breaking the issue gradually and gently has the best chance of succeeding.

I would not put the fact that you are a nudist in your profile at the dating site as that would probably turn off the great majority of women. Wait until you have been dating a person for a while before bringing up the topic.
I might not leave it out totally. Don't make it sound like it's a lifestyle but subtly mention that occasionally you enjoy being clothes free. Something like you enjoy life, and on occasion enjoy being clothes free in nature, in the right place and time. Make it sound like it's a part of your happy go lucky personality, if that's you. I think you would rather start out with a person that might be intrigued by that opposed to grossed out at the idea. If it's important to you why waste your time who thinks being naked is a sin. Best case, they might ask you about it, and that would certainly make the conversation easier.
agree completely i'm not embarrassed about being a nudist quite the opposite its give me more confidence i've told a few close friends who just went ok long as your happy and safe will tell close family soon I know they will be shocked but completely fine with it, if anyone asks i will tell them the truth. It isn't the do all if a lady said not for her, but be nice to share how wonderful it is. I googled in the UK 7 million people where confirmed to be naturists that's 10% of the UK and i bet another 1/2 million more so its not as uncommon as we think regards Ade
I met a man, became friends, and I cant remember how long after meeting him he told me he was a nudist, but when he did, I wasnt sure what to think. I hadnt heard of the lifestyle and growing up associating nudity with sex, I didnt know what to think about this guy. We continued to be friends and the topic would come up in conversation, I started learning more about the lifestyle through him. He is the one who told me about this website. He has changed my whole perspective on the lifestyle, and I wish I would have learned about it much earlier in my life. I agree with some of the other posts, let it come up in conversation. It took me a few months to warm up to the idea, but I love the lifestyle and try to be nude at home as much as I can. Which isnt often because of family being home.
I would work on the assumption that you will make it clear in your profile on the intended dating site that you don't just seek a friend to accompany you to things like theatre, cinema, concerts, sports, holidays etc., but that you would want (I assume) to move towards a sexual relationship. The bridge to cross in due course would be moving forward from naked time in bed or around the house to social nudity. I would therefore suggest an honest profile that emphasises your strong personality traits and general interests, and being open about your physical appearance and medical condition. When fishing for your soul-mate, cast an initial net that says more than just boy seeks girl, but with the mesh size chosen so that time-wasters and obvious mis-matches will drop out of the net. Your subsequent follow-up can go deeper into each other's hopes for shared activities, including naturism. How about including a line like this? "Honest, cheerful, respectful, sensual broad-minded guy - more of a friendly and cuddly grey-back gorilla than mischievous monkey, and with no hang-ups about body issues, loving an all-over tan." If you really want to narrow the field at the first go, simply join BN, then you can say a lot with just "Member of BN"
Its a really fine line. I find the general community opinion splits on either wanting to ridicule or criminalise nudism/nudists. This is mostly due to how mainstream media has treated the topic. So when you "put it out there" as part of who you are, be that on a profile or in a discussion, you usually get either of those reactions. Its about 5% of the time it meets with a like minded person
I agree with want2bfree in what she says. I did not go on Tinder after losing my wife to cancer 5.5 years ago but met a few women through other people. I did not mention nudity to them initially but after spending time with one the subject came up and we went to a CO beach not long after. She was in a bikini initially, then was topless and after a while fully naked. That relationship did not last but I am now with someone and again I did not mention nudity until it came up somehow, maybe after we had started to have sex. I have not managed to get her to a CO beach yet but she is more comfortable in her own body around me, is topless in my yard when it's warm and is OK wit me being a nudist, as was my wife. Nudism seems to have a strange image to many due to bad behaviour by some or maybe people think its all about sex or orgies or outrageous behaviour. So I would say you love nature and all the things it brings, maybe being free in nature, maybe mention beaches but I don't think I would say I was a nudist.
