In California, "public view" or a "public place" regarding nudity means any location open to the common use of the public, or private property that can be readily seen from public spaces (like streets or parks) where other people are present who might reasonably be offended or annoyed.If a neighbor can easily see you naked from their property, and is offended enough to call law enforcement, you could be charged with indecent exposure, even though that charge usually requires lewd conduct. If you have taken reasonable precautions, like trees, screens, barriers placed so that it blocks viewers from any public space or adjoining property, you will most likely be able to defend yourself against an indecent exposure charge if you can show that someone had to take deliberate steps to see you naked. Basically you're guilty until proven innocent.Probably the best thing to do is talk to your neighbors and let them know you're a nudist. In many cases, they don't care, and may like being naked too. Otherwise, you can work with them to block any line of sight they are concerned with. If you just have an a-hole neighbor that is offended by everything, well, just put up as many blocks as you can and document the conversation. Most of the time, people like that are going to go out of their way to "catch" you naked because they are sad, sexually repressed perverts pretending to be "moral" people. You'll have to defend yourself either way.
I have such a neighbour here in the UK. About two years ago my next door but one neighbour observed I was naked in my side garden. She said nothing but rang the police. NFA was issued and then she told another neighbour further up the road. Now he has a very serious problem with me. If he see's me driving along my street he will walk towards me in the road shouting and waving his fists. When he drives past my house in his van he deliberately slows down to look up into my bedroom window. He has also been very violent towards me threatening me,kicking my front door, my garden fences and gates. He went to my neighbours both sides of me and got them to setup camera recording devices in their gardens positioned and focused on my upper bedroom windows. After a while an arrest was made and the police interviewed me with these camera evidence files they had but showed nothing. I pointed out that nudity in or out of your home is not illegal. At that point the officer stopped the interview.
Later a female friend of mine was arrested for some domestic at her dad's home and after detection over night the police officer interviewing her said to her, if you write a statement saying that you have seen David running naked round his street chasing this man's children I'll let you off for your domestic.
Yes you read that correctly.
My friend however said no and later wrote me a statement to complain to the police about the police. I was advised to take legal action but only given 7 days. How conveniant. Find any solicitor that would take action against their working colleagues!
My research showed that with regards GDPR and section 18 the public cannot electronically record a persons private property and retain that data. A member of the public must be a licensed data controller to hold onto data files and can only keep those files for a given specified time. My neighbours had been filming my private property for some years and retaining the data, to which they then shared around the local community and ended up in this neighbours possession who then past it to the police, who then tried to use it against me.
This male neighbour of mine has some serious problem with me. When he walks past my house he's looking into the windows. If he cycles past with sun glasses on you can see he turns his head to look. On the latest concerns with him he has been recorded leaning over my front garden fence staring up into my bedroom. He then walked along my front garden fence to the corner, again leaned over staring up into the bedroom .
What I don't understand is how members on here all say they have great neighbours yet I have the devils agents.
