Every time I read a post saying something like my neighbour is totally fine with my being naked in my garden. she even invited me over for coffee I tend to think that person is living in a fantasy world rather than this one
Well you are untitled to your thoughts and its of no consequence to me whether you believe anything or not.
My neighbour is an older, single woman and we have struck up and very good friendship. Yes she knows Im nude in summer, why wouldnt I be ? And yes she has invited me several times to swim naked in her pool.
So not everyone lives in a fantasy world as you suggest and why does it matter if they do ?
With regards to the original post, surely theres a time and a place. If Im nude at the beach or on a nudist zone then Im with likeminded people going about our days. I wouldnt walk down the high street naked, its called common decency and respect.
Could use some of that on this site at times.
So not everyone lives in a fantasy world as you suggest and why does it matter if they do ?.
why does it matter if they do?
Ask David, he hasnt found nudist neighbour nirvana like you have claimed.
And because of all the fantasists who post their nudity in front of the neighbours stories.
He is victim of the and why does it matter if they do where they think neighbours will be fine with nudity. When the opposite is so obviously true for him.
Im not gullible enough to think, it doesnt mater if they do, because fantasy stories harm nudism rather than promote it.
Can you not see that?
If someone sees you naked its not the fault of god or the witness. Its always entirely the fault of the naked person. The naked person has no control over how the witness will react regardless of that naked persons intention is. There is no argument here, being naked in a place where nudity is not accepted is not a social norm.Nudists know this thats why nudist spaces like resorts, clubs and beaches exist.Every time I read a post saying something like my neighbour is totally fine with my being naked in my garden. she even invited me over for coffee I tend to think that person is living in a fantasy world rather than this one.If you two are so clever of the Law on nudity, then you should know that it's legal for basic nudity in the UK, as long as you are not doing anything crude or illegal, such as masturbation, you are perfectly fine and within your rights to be naked. It does not have to be a nudist beach or resort either. If someone reacts all OTT then they are the problem, not the nudist.Your so called advice is WRONG ! How would you know that someone's neighbour isn't totally fine with their nudity, were or are you there to make that decision or are you assuming you are yet again correct, when you are not ?
More than one of my neighbors is aware that I prefer to be nude in my back yard and even though I have a privacy fence they might catch a glimpse under certain circumstances, or before I had the fence, if thier back light was on and mine was not after sunset.
Ive also noticed an increasing trend to make single males unwelcome both at beaches and resorts.Have herd of many resorts not permitting singleMales, and beachs were single males being chased off.Gunnison has many men who arrive alone. I am one of them. While it is sometimes difficult to strike up a conversation, only once did someone object to me being there,That was one of my earlier visits and the person must have sensed my discomfort.
Whoever that person was that objected to you, a single male being on the beach should have been told to piss off ! YOU have as much right to be there as he did, he doesn't own the damn beach, nor was it ever his right to assume that you were there under any other reason than to get naked and enjoy the sun on your body.
I would not have allowed him to tell me to do anything, I don't care what he thought or assumed you were possibly going to do while you were there. What gave him the right to assume that you were possibly going to stand there with an erection and prance around ? If like most of us, you are a seasoned nudist, that problem is not going to happen, because seeing another naked body is no different to seeing that person in clothes, skin is simply a different form of dress ! That's like saying to someone (Male or Female), your nipples are too erect, I'm offended , I say get a grip on reality and do one.
Thanks for calling out the usual drivel that tries to cast people who know how to be appropriately sexual as asexual just because the libertines want to engage in sexual activity anywhere and everywhere. I usually return to this quote from a paper on the difference between naturism and libertine nudity.
For the RAKES', on the other hand, nudity is a sign of sexual readiness. What's more, they are not "sexually closed", but are open ready to touch and be touched, ready for bodily contact and intimacy. This interpretation of nudity is in stark contrast to the one shared by naturists. - ALEKSANDRA HERMAN :NATURIST UTOPIA AND LIBERTINE REBELLIONOver the years we have met hundreds if not thousands of nudists, cant say any of them were asexual, we certainly are not.So, how does one recognise an asexual nudist?
Rereading this long and interesting post makes me realize that there are two mindsets here: those who see nudists as able to be both sexual AND social people and those who see sexuality and sociality as mutually exclusive. The later are by nature dogmatic about their definition of bonafide true nudists. Dogmatic is defined as "inclined to lay down principles as incontrovertibly true." The former are unlikely to change them, and it's a waste of time to figure out in psychobable how they got that way. At least that's my experience growing up with a lot of repression from people and institutions. Now in my 60's, I recognize that whereas the world always changes around us, people only choose to change. I wish them all well regardless.
There is such a need for youth and young adults to be mentored and affirmed to find their own way in this increasingly fragmented and polarized world. I suggest that those of us who see sexuality as a gift and principles as a journey be caring, compassionate and generous with those in need of guidance. For when we are naked, we put ourselves out there as the most vulnerable, and from that place we find our greatest courage; both are languages of the heart.
