RE:PSHS, INC. (Penn Sylvan) - What's it like?

I was going to do SR on Wed but if there are some friendly faces going to pshs I can do that. It's slower, quainter but I like a LITTLE buzz.

I was there today for about 4.5 hours. The place is primitive, so no services are available. I brought water and some dried fruit and nuts with me, but I can see if you wanted to bring a small cooler as well. The outdoor pool area was a nice size and had many loungers and a few umbrellas some of which were broken. I was a nice weather day but there were only about 5 people there (Wednesday). The place is a little dated but functional. The indoor pool was a nice respite from the sun, albeit the emergency exit lights were in disrepair and falling off. The indoor hot tub was clean and hot but you would need to insert quarters in each of the two boxes that turned on the jets for 15 min. While there was no mention of the sauna not working, the door was nailed shut without any signs indicated it was broken. Supposedly per the reception, there is a short unmarked trail but I did not see where it was. All in all, if you want to just chill under the sun, sans clothing, this was fine. But quite frankly after some time being alone, it would probably be better to go with a friend. Perhaps weekends are different.

I must have just missed you. My work day got all screwed up so I didn't get there until about 3:40 and stayed til 7. One other old man who I heard take a HAPPY BIRTHDAY call. Also annoyed to find the sauna nailed shut.

Must have. There was a 91 year old gentleman there for most of the time I was there, but he left for awhile leaving his stuff there to go somewhere briefly. Hard to to overhear some conversation, but it sounded like he recently had a birthday. Perhaps another time.

It's been a few years since I was there and from what you've said it has changed a lot. Everything was in fine working order, including the sauna, last time I spent the day. And putting quarters in the hot tub was not a thing just a few years ago. I was going to go there at the end of the month for the Naturist Society's meet-up but may rethink going. I'll likely do a reconnoiter next week.
