What is the underlying Purpose of Naturism/Nudism?
Even though we were "taught" that food, clothing, and shelter are basic needs, my parents felt clothing was not necessary when we were at home. For me, nudity has always been normal and natural, while clothes are simply a requirement for being legally covered in public. I stopped wearing underwear when I was starting 6th grade and mom quit laying out my school clothes (shirt, pants, socks and underwear). Neither parent had a problem with me going commando
Folks have all sorts of different reasons for being a "nudist". I'm honest to myself, and most others who have asked me that question, which is nothing altruistic or to "convene with nature".
I like my body, which is to say I don't have any hang-ups about it, I'm I great physical shape [because I look after it and do a lot of exercise] and I enjoy showing off my nude body when I can which could be at a beach or, as I've done a few times, at a nude swimming session at a nearby outdoor pool. I love the thrill of being naked outside and occasionally I walk naked in the countryside which gives me an amazing feeling of being liberated. The freedom of not wearing clothes outside is also very arousing and sexual and I'm honest about that.
