non nudist partner

Hello everyone,
I am a nudist while my parner is not.
Wanted to ask if there are any people here in the same situation and how do you handle it.
Many thanks in advance

partner
For most people their first experience of nudism, is on a clothing optional beach, usually discovering it by chance rather than searching for it.

You could try asking her to go to a clothing optional beach with you so you can swim and sunbathe nude with absolutely no pressure on her to undress. Once she sees how others find it so natural and how its far more logical to swim and sunbathe nude, she might be tempted.

I used to think there is something that can be done to gain the participation of a non nudist partner. Sadly nowadays I think unless they're under 30years old there is little that can be done.

Whatever psychological barrier is holding your partner back is simply reinforced by the overwhelming presence of men who go nude (nb are not nudists or naturists) simply to gain some sexual advance.

When I got married,I was already a nudist, new wife was not.although she would walk around the house naked after a shower or bath. we went to a hot spring place that had private rooms and got naked with me. first summer we were married starting going to hot springs around the state, I would go naked she wouldn't and one night she did get naked, nobody else there. went up to this one, it had 2 big pools and a sundeck and benches all around. 2 ladies were floating on air mattresses in the pool, completely naked. I turned to my wife to ask her what she was going to do and Already had taken off her top and was taking off her bottoms. stayed there 3 days, naked the entire time. and as they say the rest is history.

That was the case for me during my first marriage.

What I did was negotiate nudity at home. We agreed that I would only be naked in the late evening after showering and before going to bed; and of course when she wasn't home. And I stuck to that daily routine without fail.
Eventually she grew so used to seeing and interacting with me naked that we renegotiated and agreed to "let me" be naked "full time" at home. And she got used to that too. I remember her coming home from work one day; I happened to not be naked, and she asked me why. She was actually surprised.

To me, this "Stage 1" - even if it doesn't lead to full-time nudity at home - is the most important one. And for me, this process took about 2 years in total. It isn't always going to be easy.

Shortly after I got to "full time" home nudity, I brought up nudist resorts. We had fleetingly discussed it before; but now it was going to be a more serious conversation. She didn't want anyone to see her naked. So I set my sights on a clothing-optional resort; and very strategically selected an "off-season" day during the week; in order to minimize the amount of people we'd encounter. So I presented her with the "deal." We'd go, she would wear any covering of her choice, we'd only stay for a short while; and we'd steer clear of any nudists there. Her counter was that we'd leave - without question - if she felt uncomfortable at any point; and asking her to remove anything was "off the table." We agreed and set a date.

Again, this was several discussions over several months. She'd initially said no several times prior. And the agreement was reached over a year after the initial conversation.

I won't go over the entire outcome of "Stage 2." We arrived very early, checked in; she changed into a simple sundress and I got naked. There were maybe 4 or 5 people there (it was in May) and we had most of the resort to ourselves. She agreed to remove her sundress to get in the sauna; and then the hot-tub. She then decided to stay nude to play a game of ping-pong with me and hang out naked with me in the clubhouse. When we got ready to leave, she was the one who requested one last stroll around the resort; but this time naked. And when we got ready to pack up, the manager asked us to drop by for a chat; and my wife decided to not get dressed and have that conversation naked.
This is a typical outcome...and I in no way influenced my wife whatsoever.

That is such a good example of not pushing naturism down her throat and when the time and setting was right she joined in-thats just great for you both
Best regards

Nudists just are not that common.

So, the main thing about naturism's survival, which I believe to be true, is that the ones among us among humanity, those of us who ARE Nudists/Naturists, is that we have to network, and potentially inter-marry into naturism, even if we did not grow up with nudism/naturism. That might be among some of the few only ways naturism survives as a culture or cultural practice or group of related cultures/cultural practices.

To be clear, I personally think naturism is an ideology and a philosophy. Not everyone sees it that way.

The really tricky thing about nudists is that there are not that many nudists in the first place, but they are not all sticking to it, and the ones sticking to it often are not all the best examples of "how to be a nudist."

Keep in mind that in real reality, there really is not a precise definition of "how to be a really good example of how to be a nudist" except the concept of the "Golden Rule," which we all break, which says literally "love your neighbor as yourself and do unto others as they would have you do to them/do unto others as you would have done to them or yourself" or whatever it usually says.

Not everyone does perfection.

My modern conception of perfection is simply "Nobody is Perfect" and "But we all try to be" "but we never get there all the way," that is basically my whole philosophy, when it comes to perfection. However "some people never try" is also a true statement.

The key to naturism is not perfection, but simply "trying what works."

So to answer the original question, what I would say:

You simple have to usually find someone who respects your naturism who works well in a relationship for you, unless you decide to only date naturists.

Or simply, keep your partner so long as they respect you and respect your naturism as a person.

If they respect you and respect your naturism, It might work out.

If not, it might not work out later if that respect for you and your naturism is not upkept thorougly throughout the years you are partners.
