Leaving all behind when out

Had a nice 4 1/2 mile walk out on Exmoor this afternoon. Did not see anyone during the 2 hrs. Which is good as all I had was my car key, phone and dog. Everything else was back at the car.

What are your thoughts on leaving all behind do you or don't you?
