Gunnison Beach Nudists

You must go to Gunnison Beach and now you must have a picture of you at Gunnison Beach posted in this group.

Yesterday was my 3rd trip to Gunnison this summer and it was a nice day, not too hot and a smaller crowd. But I have to say that I'm really disappointed that the park seems to be lacking in services even though the parking fee is still $20. Walking mat barely goes halfway to the water while in past years it went all the way down. No lifeguards and with that no swimming signs. It's really unfortunate.

It's all a guess, but I'd be surprised if the lack of lifeguards and services isn't directly attributable to a federal administration hell bent on cutting costs to pad their own, greedy pockets, with Sandy Hook being part of the national park service. If the people in charge could do it, they would close every park in the system and give no-bid contracts to their energy company cronies to 'drill baby drill' for oil, strip mountain tops to get to coal, etc.

That congressional representatives and the Supreme Court and the Executive branch are allowed to buy and sell stocks, often profiting directly by using their positions of power to set policy that benefits them and theirs; it is so fucked in DC now. I pray that the backlash from all the open corruption happening will be televised, and hopefully very soon. Allowing stupid people to control things makes stupid happen. Allowing smart but corrupt people to do it makes it even worse. Losing our precious national parks for personal profit-taking is perverted.

RE:Gunnison

I inquired about both issues and was told that the NPS could only find enough lifeguards to cover one beach this summer and they correctly decided to cover the busiest beach, which is not Gunnison.
