Do we need another pandemic...?
While the world truly doesnt need another pandemic for many reasons, and the human toll is one to say the least, there were two consequences that arguably were good for human kind.
The first was how clean our air became once the lock downs were in place. The brown haze was gone from most major cities and definitely here in Brisbane.
But the other silver lining was in the number of people who with nothing much else to do slipped off their clothing for the first time and enjoyed the liberty that nudism can bring. It was clear that with no place to go and only stuff to be done at home that people started to spend more time naked than just the time in the shower.
Activity on this social media platform flourished during that time too. It was nothing to see the chat room with up to 700 people participating. Now its less than 400 most days. The platform enabled people to see that enjoying naturism was a widespread phenomenon. We had rapid expansion of our Friends on here and now we are lucky if we have one friend request in a week. Each day the Feed seemingly has less contributions.
Its funny how life takes over, well clothed life anyway. We are all now back to the office and out and about in public wearing clothes and it seems like the broader public acceptance of nudism is declining once again.
Perhaps sonething similar to a pandemic that makes us return to things more human and humble is needed...
I would never wish something like that on anyone.
Millions of people died, and so many of them were hardcore naturists among the dead.
Never again if it is avoidable.
Trump especially screwed up the response here in the USA, and he is back in power, very unfortunately, and is still very very EVIL.
He would screw up the response, along with RFK JUNIOR his Health and Human Services Secretary. It sucks they are power inside the actual current Federal Government right now.
Gen Z especially suffered during the pandemic, having been graduating university and secondary school during the pandemic, during the horrible situation in the USA with the lockdowns! It sucked bad to be in college during that time like I was, as an older member of Generation Z!
So the billion dollar question is how do we derive the positives for human kind with out all of the impacts....
Yes, exactly. That line of thinking is never out of question. We need to derive the positives for humanity, all human kind, collectively, without all the worst impacts.
In my opinion, the pandemic backfired at least in the USA, I am unsure about other nations.
I know from experience that young people were mentally shocked and hurt by the pandemic and its responses in the USA.
Let us not think jokingly or seriously that the pandemic was "Completely full of everything good." Let us not romanticize the past too badly either. We make all kind of technological benchmark achievement strides every day. We need to be self-aware of how massive our collective moment on planet earth really is.
But we need to not feed the scam artists! We need not feed or give money to the scam artists like Mark Zuckerberg, like other people trying Tyranny and Villiany. We need to not be soft to the villians.
