Return to DiscussionsI've been seeing the same doctor for an annual physical for about 18 years. On my first visit he told me what to expect in the exam: ears, throat, heart, breathing, reflexes, strength, genitals and prostate. He offered me the paper gown and I said I didn't need it and I preferred to be nude. He said he may ask a nurse to assist him and I said that was fine. He said he would leave the room while I undressed and I said, you don't need to leave. I slipped off my t-shirt and as I was unbuttoning my jeans I said, I have some genital piercings and tattoos (on my dick and pubic area). He looked, but didn't stare. I sat on the edge of the exam table and he checked my throat, ears and heart, knee reflexes and leg strength then told me to lay down and he pressed on my abdomen. Then he told me to stand up and he examined both balls and asked if the piercings (I had 9) ever got irritated. Then he had me do the cough test and examined my dick, rolling it around to look at the frenulum area, retracted my foreskin and said I needed to clean better (I restored my foreskin and tend to let smegma build up). Then he told me to turn around and bend over and he did the finger in the rectum exam. I always leak a little precum but never get hard. He gave me a tissue to wipe the precum and lube off my ass. He wrote notes on his computer while I got dressed. For the next 17 years the exam has been basically the same, only he starts with, you don't want a gown do you? He has occasionally asked if I cared if an intern observed the exam and I always anyone is welcome
I wish I could do that!!! I get hard easily even in non-sexual situations. I would be embarrassed and wouldn't know what to do or say once I get hard. I wish I had more control of my erections, not that I get them, we always want the ability to get hard just not in almost every situation when naked. Of course, it goes away after about 10 mins but, an exam is usually over before the 10 would go by. I'm jealous of those like you that don't get hard. Sorry if this is weird!!!
Generally you dont have to worry about this, most male doctors totally are aware of some males that get hard whenever nude, and since they are usually very much aware of this possibility those that choose to have their patients be nude usually have no issue or shock when this on occasion occurs, so this IMHO should not stop you from seeing a same gender doctor who sees patients nude.
