Return to DiscussionsI was drive along the Great Ocean Road, Victoria. Southern Australia yesterday, it was a beautiful sunny winters day. I went to a quiet secluded spot stripped off and enjoyed an hour of beautiful winter sun, it was around 15c. Went for a walk along the short beach and a few cars on the road saw me and gave a toot. A few years ago I had some tests that showed low vitamin D levels so my wife told me to get some sun, I gotten plenty ever since. Getting some winter sun is extra special as it feels like a gift.
Created this topic a few years ago, it's winter again, and 8c today, maybe a top of 10 or 11, I'm sick of winter already. Can't wait for a sunny spring day. The only good thing about winter is citrus is in season here and skiing with my kids.
Another winter in the southern hemisphere, clear skies but no warmth. The only thing to look forward to is skiing again with my adult kids. Always find winter had to get through. No winter escape to warmer parts of Oz planned this year, yet ....
It's that time of year again, winter in southern Australia, sunny this morning 10c outside, but feels like 6. May have to brave the outdoors and get some sun, just doesn't have any heat. No winter solstice swim in Tasmania for me this year with 3000 other crazy naked people, they will have to get by without me, haha.
Am at Torquay today, close to 3 nude beaches but no nudey swim here this morning for the winter solstice, it's cold and raining. Went to Tassie for the swim the last 2 years but not this year, if it was like this, I may have chickened out. The last 2 years we had beautiful clear mornings. I'll be interested to see later on what the conditions were like and how many people were brave or crazy.
