However, in an effort to say something relevant I'll mention my observations on old closed logging roads as places for nudists hikes. I've hiked many naked miles on these old forest roads. They are rarely on the general use maps and often go for miles. Clear cutting is not a thing any more so the areas actually logged are dispersed. We recently moved, and the roads in my old area were from the 50's and 60's, and largely reduced down to single track elk trails. Perfect. Only once did I see someone else. Well I learned a lesson last week in my new neighborhood. The road was only a couple of years old. It was wide, exposed, hot, and dusty. There was not a soul around, but it sucked for being naked in nature. There was a trail that went near my car, which crossed the road. It required 1/4 mile of bushwhacking to get back to the car. No big deal, right, so I hiked back that way. Well, I wasn't comfortable naked on the public trail, and the 1/4 mile took an hour of navigating through downed, deadfall, trees. Moral to the story - find OLD logging roads to hike.
My experience is that old logging roads can be popular with mountain bikes. Big risk for nude hikers. Bikers are very quiet and move fast, so there's little or no warning. But, really, we face the same risk on regular trails. ATVs and trail motorcycles seem to be getting more popular, but at least they made enough racket that you know they're coming.
On NFS land in MT, many of the old logging roads have been kelly humped at their entrances so they can technically say they are no longer roads, which let's them put in new roads for new logging. So it is less likely for ATV's to be on these roads, but mountain bikes are still possible. I'd be less inclined to worry about mtn. bikers caring about my nudity than ATVers. There is generally a different mind set.Perhaps it's just my paranoia but I would expect ATVs as soon as got my pants down.

Many around here are closed to motorized vehicles, but not mountain bikes. That's been a worry, but I've never had one come up on me. I've seen tracks, but for the most part, I think the old roads are too tame for the local crowd.
I live in Britain where we have smaller and far fewer forests and woods than, say, in the US or France, buti also do try and walk on logging roads when I can in the few places that I use to walk naked in. Most legitimate walkers don't use them because they are not public rights of way so in that respect they are idea.
Having said the above, I went to one of my regular places to walk nude, got undressed and stashed my clothes; I prefer walking totally nude and with clothes because it adds to the thrill of being naked in public. As I was strolling along a logging trail I heard an engine and before I knew it I saw a quad bike through the trees and only just managed to dive for cover as they passed. I don't mind being seen naked at a beach, but I was totally nude, wearing a leather collar [which I often do, have a number of piercings with body jewellery [including in both nipples] and covered in body oil so I would have had to explain myself!
I'd walked there many times before and this was the first time I had seen anyone. I have encountered people in other places a few times before and it has not been a problem fortunately.
