Nude In Public
Getting nude in public seems to be getting more and more. What are your views on this. Also have you ever tried it out.
Nude in public areas
Return to DiscussionsMorning all
I have just done a nude walk along a cliff footpath from an area near me and did about 3 miles.
I met a lot of people who were ok and some bit shocked .
One couple actually stopped and started chatting with me.
Has anyone else got nude outside in an non nude area.

Occasionally in the woods where I didn't expect to see anyone.
I run nude almost every morning on a public trail but there is never anyone out there. I go early so I dont see anyone or have a very little chance of seeing anyone. Much safer. lol. Crazy you didnt get arrested. Be safe out there.

Do you bring any clothes with you in case you happen to come across anyone?

Like you I'm in the UK near the coast and walk nude along cliff paths. as well as on other footpaths elsewhere. We're lucky that the law accepts our right to be nude in public here, although there are a lot of people who do not understand this to be the case, provided we are just naturally naked and free, with no sexual behaviour. A few people do not want to accept that public nudity is OK, so I tend to be careful, while also enjoying our freedom to be naked if we choose to be.
I've walked nude in the countryside with organised groups in the past, it is nice to do it with a group of nudists. More recently I've tended to hike naked more locally with a few friends or solo, it is easier to organise a small group at short notice than hope that the bigger groups long-planned walks get good weather.
As for meeting people while nude in public it can be difficult to guess how clothed people will react to nudity. I 'cover up' when near homes etc but away from settlements I prefer to remain nude, there is nothing to be ashamed about being nudists. Some people say hello and keep going, others stop and chat, sometimes asking about the public nudity laws, sometimes saying something like 'I wish I could do that', but nobody so far has taken up or suggestions to join us nude.
When I hike nude I normally carry clothing among other things like water, because while I believe that it is good to make the most of the public nudity laws here in the UK, I don't like confrontations and some clothing can help to avoid that. However I do sometimes walk completely naked while carrying nothing at places that I am familiar with, so that I know where the blind corners are, or the likelihood of meeting fewer people. I love being naturally naked in nature, it feels so right to walk nude without any baggage like that IMO. I want to enjoy being myself when I can, unashamedly a nudist.
