I have been a fervent naturist since the age of 12. More than four decades later, naturism remains an important part of who I am and how I connect with nature, freedom and the world around me.

I am a proud member of ANF, INF-FNI and ClothesFree International. I respect the work naturist organisations have done over many decades, while also believing that naturism now needs to expand beyond its traditional boundaries if it is to remain relevant to future generations.

I am the Founder of NaturismRE, or NRE, an independent international initiative exploring naturism through health and wellbeing, research, education, public policy, social attitudes and technology.

NRE is not a federation and does not seek to replace one. We have no membership to sell and no interest in competing for members. Much of our work is made freely available because I believe the future of naturism should not depend on one organisation controlling it. People should have the tools, evidence and resources to take action within their own countries and communities.

Through the NRE Health Institute, we are particularly interested in something I believe naturism has underestimated for far too long: its potential contribution to human health and wellbeing. Nature immersion, body acceptance, reduced social stigma, outdoor activity and appropriate non-sexual nudity deserve serious research and serious public discussion.

NRE is also conducting international research into attitudes toward nudity, stigma and the motivations behind non-sexual nudity, alongside work in education, government engagement and public policy.

I am also developing Naturis Sancta and DemokrAI, alongside a much broader long-term vision examining how nature, health, technology and human progress can work together rather than against one another.

What I'm Looking For

I'm here first and foremost to meet genuine naturists from around the world.

I enjoy hearing people's experiences, whether they have been naturists for 40 years or discovered it recently. Beaches, hiking, camping, swimming, resorts, clubs or simply enjoying the freedom of being clothes-free at home all form part of a much larger and remarkably diverse community.

I'm also interested in connecting with people who question where naturism is heading and who are prepared to think beyond the usual conversations about beaches, clubs and holidays.

Researchers, health professionals, educators, writers, policymakers and people interested in contributing ideas or expertise to NRE are always welcome to contact me.

But not every conversation needs to become a project. Sometimes it is simply good to meet another naturist, exchange experiences and have an interesting discussion.

My Interests

Naturism and nudism in their many forms.

Long-distance hiking, nature immersion, swimming, camping and fossicking.

Health and wellbeing, particularly the relationship between humans and natural environments.

Science, philosophy, consciousness and the bigger questions about where humanity is going.

Artificial intelligence and how it can be used constructively rather than simply feared.

Building ambitious projects that challenge assumptions and occasionally make people uncomfortable enough to start thinking.

Why I'm Here

Naturism has been part of my life since I was 12. I don't see it as something that belongs only behind the gates of a resort or on a designated beach.

For me, it is part of a much bigger relationship between the human body, nature, health, freedom and society.

I am here to meet people who share that curiosity, exchange experiences and ideas, and hopefully make a few genuine friends along the way.

If something larger grows from those conversations, even better.
